Napoleon in Egypt

The 2008 display theme is Napoleon in Egypt. We will be displaying battles from the campaigns in Egypt 1798 to 1801 using 28mm figures from a variety of ranges. We revisited the theme at Claymore in 2010 with The Battle of Alexandria 1801 featuring the British expeditionary force.

French line infantry in their distinctive Egyptian uniforms will be refighting battles in sight of the Pyramids and in the Holy Land. Doing battle with the Mameluke horsemen and the Ottoman Empire.

For more pictures of the armies visit http://www.balkanhistory.com/napoleon_in_egypt.htm

First stop was Wappinshaw in Glasgow on 12 April with the Battle of the Pyramids. Then Falkirk Carronade with the Battle of Mount Tabor April 1799 followed by Phalanx with Heliopolis March 1800.

Finally at Dumfires Albanich in July with Pharaoh's Gold.

These photos of the Battle of Mount Tabor were taken by Michael Scott. For more of his work visit www.michaelscott.name
