Competitions
GDWS organises a number of competitions. These are a good way to introduce players to a new period and give a structure to the organisation of games played at each club meeting. However, most games played at the club are 'friendlies', arranged between members, not associated with any competition.
There are a number of one off competitions usually organised at 'double headers'. These are a weekend of games rather than the normal club Sunday.
In addition there are three competitions played over at least one year. They are:
Iain Forrest Memorial Trophy for 28mm ancient and medievals
Ancients Championship for 15mm ancient and medievals
Renaissance Championship for 15mm renaissance armies.
